This place is a big dump. Voyeur is basically the same as when it used to be called "Pure", they made some minor cosmetic changes and changed the name. Voyeur would like you to think it's a NYC mega club (so they can charge NYC mega club prices!) but this place is far from any mega club I have been to. There is always a hefty cover charge and drinks are ridiculously expensive by Philly standards. Make sure you have plenty of cash on hand if you make the mistake of going to this filthy place.

Pure isn't the nicest club. They usually charge a cover, depending on what night and time you go. Drinks are very expensive compared with other bars nearby. Pure is a members only club. If you aren't a member, you can enter the club, but you cannot buy alcohol!

Pure is THE BEST bar/club/dance place I have ever been to. It's mainly an after hours place. Sometimes it opens at 10, but don't go before 1am (hang out at Woody's before 1am..it's literally across the street). Arrive 1am or so, and there are 3 floors. A downstairs bar and seating area with a small dance floor (this is the only floor open Sunday, Monday nights). The main floor is the place to be. A huge wooden dance floor surrounded by bars and lounge seating areas. Fog, lights, sweaty bodies everywhere, it is the hottest. Upstairs is fun too. Like the basement dance floor, it is small, but fun. Plays rap/top 40 music and does not "mess with it." The main floor "messes" with the music, so songs you hear there you won't recognize or hear on the radio. But it's fun. If you're familiar with "Queer as Folk," PURE is the closest thing to Babylon I have ever seen (and i've partied in Miami, DC, NYC, and other smaller eastern cities). GO TO PURE! Drinks until 2am (so get drunk, then dance it off on the floor for another hour). Also, drinks are 6 for a beer, so come having pregamed. Have fun, and stay safe fellas!
