Um it sounds as if someone had a bad night out. my review was not a ruin. i don't know any owners of any Richmond clubs, especially NATIONS. my review was original and i am from Norfolk. in fact, i enjoyed NATIONS so much i'm back in RICHMOND tonight at looking forward to going to NATIONS tonight. maybe if you weren't a bitter old fag then you would have enjoyed yourself the last few times you were there. NATIONS isn't suppose to be an "underground club" so don't complain about the music. it's a bar/club that plays music people request. get over yourself.

I believe this is a ruse.If not, there must be some shit clubs in Norfolk.Where to begin..I'll first say that I'm old enough to have remembered when our fucked up Republican infested city had clubs that were actually nice (Pyramid,Caffeine,etc.)So, for all of you twink bitches who read this and assume I'm some bitter old queen...I'm still HOT! so,get over it.Nations TRIES to be cool,it just needs a few adjustments.#1)the music is awful,I can stay at home and listen to the crap that is on the radio(Britney).Club music should be underground and cutting edge,it should create a fantasy ,an atmosphere.Check out DJ Epijay on You Tube,for example.#2They should invest some money into bringing in out of state DJ's from New York,Philly,or even D.C.,make it an event night and see what the response is.#3By not creating a true club atmosphere,you attract a piss BORING crowd,no creativity,no fashion,NO FUN! I know you boys are out there,you just give up because "it's only Richmond".Basically...just play better music,bring in the fashion and art crowd,create a place where we can escape for a night.On a lighter note,I've never had bad service,a weak ass drink,or been treated with disrespect.I've just been bored!I think I said what I've needed to say. Whomever reads this, if you don't have a clue as to what I'm bitching about...get in your car or take a quick flight to a real metropolis and get into a real club..soak in the whole atmosphere and escape....peace!

My partner and I were in Richmond for the weekend and decided to hit up the gay scene on a Saturday night. After reading poor reviews, we decided to try NATIONS out. I'm glad we did because once we were greeted by the two friendly gentlemen at the door and the attractive bar tender, my partner and I were like, "this place is nice." The bartender was nice and catered to my difficult and innovative drinks with interest and genuineness. The drinks were good and strong, the music was HOTT and there was a lot of seating... NOT AT ALL WHAT THE TWO PREVIOUS REVIEWS PORTRAYED NATIONS TO BE. We really enjoyed ourselves and were impressed. The dance floor was a nice size in the back and the atmosphere was positive. I would DEFINITELY return to NATIONS the next time I am in Richmond. I hope others' experience there is as great as ours was. NATIONS has my vote!!!

I been on Nations today September 26, 2009, after Richmond Gay Pride. I went to a Chinese Rest. beside the bar my partner was drunk, and i decide to eat. My friends came to Nations, so we went over there to join as a friend. I told the waiter I only need so far a glass a water. So, he told us you have to consume something, because manager's told him this is the bar rule. One of the owner came to our table and told us the rule we understand business is just business, but in a economic like we have right now and stupid mentality like that God bless America. from this incident my partner and my self we decide never to go to this place any more, so owner like that need to go school and LEARN a lot from business administration I have a business too and this was over business like this can grow up this capitalism mentality makes more worst business. But any way never this people ask us if we are to going consume something later, because it was as soon we arrive like one of the owner said if you not consume even food or bottle water you have to leave right now what is the education here men. Like I said "God bless you and your business." So I will never go to this hostile bar.

This place is decent on Saturday nights, always packed... But the drinks are horrible and overpriced... Try getting a vodka/cranberry, cause all u get is a $7 glass of cranberry juice... You ask for more vodka and they look at you like your an idiot... And god forbid you are not done drinking ur so called alcoholic drink by 1:30 am, because the lights turn on way before 2am (the correct closing time), the overly FAT security guards are yelling and pushing people out and then making sure you dont even get a chance to say goodbye to friends outside....God forbid you go to talk to people, because if there isnt some old troll drooling and eye-F**KING you, there is a bunch of cocky, concieted guys (who have no reason to think they are even remotely cute) standing in their little "Groups" and talking about everyone in the bar. Decor is nice, music is decent... But who wants a bar filled with the same old dirty sluts that have been passed around like a dollar bill, trolls in leather, rude, obnoxious security and ugly guys that think they are gods gift????? NOT ME, Deffinately not worth paying $5, which PS, even if you get there 5 minutes before closing, YOU WILL STILL BE CHARGED THE COVER!!!!
