Great Bar,

This bar is pretty comfortable and doesn't have the drug problems of the other local bars. They have some of the best drink prices around and aren't as clicky as the other local establishments. The crowd is usually friendly, though there are the bitchy ones on occasion. Lot of different events going on and we had a great time in from out of town. Good stock of liquors. Will be back often.
Diamond Jim's, Ain't so Sparkly,

Diamond Jim's is not "Detroit's only cowboy/bear/leather video saloon bar." The Adam's Apple, the Hayloft, the R&R, and the Eagle are all cowboy/bear/leather bars. Jim's is not a video bar. It hardly qualifies as a bar, as it is continuously out of stock on even the most basic liquors and beers. This used to be a hopping venue, but the owner - Jim - has let it slip over the last few years.
The neighborhood is extremely dangerous, with police rarely showing up when incidents happen (which they do, with alarming frequency).
People do not go to this bar any longer, making Diamond Jim's Saloon into something which fits in better with a ghost town.
